How to blow up on Social Media?

Going viral on social media is what every business is looking to achieve. All the attention and engagement can take your business to the next level. But how to do it? Being a social media manager and a regular user and follower of different social medias, I have had the opportunity to use different strategies to get more interactions. And I’m eager to share them with you and give you 2 simple tips to make your brand blow up on social media.

First, it’s all about authentic and insightful content.

What I’ve learnt through managing my clients’ social media platforms is that the way to get unique content is to make it genuine and trustworthy, and let your brand speak for itself through real moments. In other words, be true to your brand’s values and brand voice, tell your story with your words so that your audience can only get your content by visiting your social media pages. Try to do that. Try to post images and videos that reflect your uniqueness and the real side of your brand, always making sure your content is honest and thoughtful. By keeping it real, the relationship between your brand and followers becomes stronger, increasing the customers’ engagement, respect, and loyalty.

Another point is to make sure that this content is insightful and brings values to your audience. Do not post images because you want to show off but so that you can be transparent about how your business works and how you capture every day moments. The days of perfectly curated content are over. You should show that you are approachable and always think that someone somewhere is going to benefit from your successes and failures. If your readers and clients can put your words in practice then they will benefit from what you publish and will also certainly pass it around.

Second, Integrate your social media platforms into an overall strategy.

When somebody reaches out to me and says “Hey Lily, can you help us develop a new social media strategy?”, I usually say: “Absolutely! What are your business goals?”

A lot of businesses go on social media marketing on an ad hoc basis, they know they should do something, but they don’t really know what. They want to blow up on social media but their channels do not really fit in their global strategy. So, before you start tailor your content, think about what is your main goal of using social media. Do you want to increase the reach and visibility of your business? Do you want to drive traffic to your website? Do you want to sell more products? Do you know who and where your target is? All these questions are a good starting point to help you operate your business social accounts in a thoughtful, measured way that will support your overall marketing strategy. From experience, it is essential to ensure that all messaging and communications strategies are consistent across all channels to ensure a successful business. Having a social media strategy aligned with your marketing approach will certainly allow you to create a unified and seamless experience for your audience.

I hope you’ll make good use of these two tips and put it into practice to spice up your social media channels! For sure these tips can help you improve clarity and focus on your content ideas.
